Kids Only Kayaking

This is a 2 hour fun kids kayaking experience. Designed for children between the ages of 8 - 15 years old, it's a good way to exercise and experience that sense of adventure in the South Downs.

During the lesson, you can expect to learn the basics of paddling and controlling your boat as well as general safety and loads of fun!! The session takes place on the river Adur, a very safe and sheltered river in West Sussex. Once the basics are mastered, we'll head off on an adventure, short journey along the river to explore and participate in games and challenges to put your new kayaking skills to the test.

Having completed a few kayaking sessions you should be at a competent level of kayaking, we can then issue you with a British Canoeing 1 Star award. The British Canoeing 1 Star award is a nationally recognised award and is a clear stepping stone to becoming a paddler. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Who's it for?

You need no previous experience, just a healthy sense of adventure! If you don't mind getting wet and want to have fun then this is for you.

What you'll need.

We'll supply all the equipment you require. Bring along a wetsuit or warm layers to paddle in, fleece material and wool are best. You'll also need a bottle of something to drink, and suncream if it's a hot day.
